Filtered
sunshine but thicker
clouds toward southern Vermont Friday as healthy low pressure
system passes to our south...spreading rain into far southern
VT.
High
latitude blockiness
this time of year making modeling shaky
and reviving jet stream energy with storm track to our south across
mid Atlantic states this weekend and early next week. This is
keeping us high and dry through Mothers Day. Early week weather
system next week stays south, but will come back north - it still
could - right now northern New England also looking fair and dry.
MOTHERS
DAY WEEKEND
is trending up for northern New England!
We shall watch one compact but potent system pass to our
south later Friday into Saturday AM, giving
New York City 1-2 inch rain amounts. That
system moves out with weak higher pressure in control across northern
New England.
Average
high around 65
Normal or average low near 39.
Gardeners
and Farmers note
better than 50% chance for seeing frost through mid May and 25%
chance in colder hollows through end of May...
Please
note - looking for digital images of lightning struck trees. Please
email me
and thanks for all the email - I will be putting together a collage
of lightning pictures to educate what they might look like on
area trees - thanks to many of you for your emails...
